Does clascoterone work for hair loss?
In two Phase 3 trials of 1,465 men, clascoterone 5% solution beat vehicle on target-area hair count at 6 months. Men who stayed on drug to 12 months kept gaining; men switched to vehicle declined. That is positive, sponsor-reported Phase 3 evidence — not a consumer product you can review on Amazon.
Is Breezula FDA approved?
No. Not for hair loss, as of August 2026. Cosmo plans to file a US NDA in early 2027.
Can I buy clascoterone for hair growth now?
Not as an approved AGA drug. A clinician may prescribe Winlevi 1% cream off-label. Some compounding pharmacies make lotions. Cosmetic serums using the name are not the pharmaceutical.
Is Winlevi the same as Breezula?
Same active, different strength and vehicle. Winlevi = 1% cream for acne. Breezula = 5% solution studied for male AGA.
Will it cause sexual side effects like finasteride?
Topline Phase 3 communications reported no meaningful systemic hormone effects and vehicle-like adverse events. That is the design goal. Rare events need post-marketing time.
What does 539% more hair actually mean?
Relative improvement versus vehicle in one of the two trials, not a 5× thicker head of hair. See the Phase 3 page.
Can women use it?
The pivotal SCALP programme enrolled men. Do not assume the male 5% data transfers. Winlevi acne data is a different indication.
Should I stop minoxidil or finasteride to wait for Breezula?
No. Those are the therapies with labels. Stopping them usually costs hair.
